The Grassroots K9 Trainer School is an intensive instructor-led program designed for law enforcement K9 handlers who are ready to transition beyond handling a dog and become the trainers responsible for developing future teams within their agency.

Led by Grassroots K9 Founder and Training Director Michael Nezbeth, this program provides a structured, hands-on approach to teaching canine training methodology, instructional techniques, program development, and leadership within a working dog environment.

This is not simply another handler course—it is designed to build competent trainers capable of creating consistency, improving operational performance, and strengthening K9 programs from within.

Program Overview

The Trainer School consists of 6 weeks of intensive trainer development followed by the opportunity to continue into the 8-week Police K9 Handler School, allowing students to apply what they've learned while working alongside instructors.
