TRAIN DIRECTLY UNDER MICHAEL NEZBETH

Private Trainer Mentorship & Grassroots K9 Development Pathway

This is not simply a dog training program.

It is an opportunity to learn, develop, and work directly under Michael Nezbeth through an intensive mentorship designed for individuals pursuing a serious future in professional dog training and within the Grassroots K9 organization.

For a limited number of selected applicants, Michael is opening his training environment, methodology, experience, and professional network to develop the next generation of Grassroots K9 trainers, leaders, and potential future business owners.

Admission is selective. Space is intentionally limited.

THE MENTORSHIP

Selected applicants will complete a minimum of 630 mentorship hours directly within the Grassroots K9 training environment.

These hours are designed to provide meaningful, hands-on exposure to the realities of professional dog training—not simply classroom education.

Mentees will have the opportunity to develop across the spectrum of the Grassroots K9 system, including pet dog training, advanced obedience, behavior modification, reactivity and aggression, working-dog development, detection, protection, police K9 training, training mechanics, client education, program development, leadership, and business operations.

The objective is not to teach someone how to follow a training formula.

It is to develop trainers who can read dogs, think critically, problem-solve, communicate effectively, make sound training decisions, and uphold the standards expected within Grassroots K9.

630 HOURS. REAL DOGS. REAL EXPERIENCE.

The required 630 hours represent a substantial commitment to your development.

Applicants should be prepared to immerse themselves in the day-to-day training environment and understand that mentorship may include observation, hands-on training, assisting experienced trainers, client interaction, kennel and dog management, working-dog development, seminars, scenario-based training, and other opportunities deemed appropriate by Michael throughout the program.

Your progression will be based on more than completing hours.

Work ethic. Coachability. Consistency. Character. Skill development. Professionalism. Leadership.

These are all part of the evaluation.

FROM TRAINER → LEADER → POTENTIAL GRASSROOTS K9 OWNER

This mentorship has been intentionally created with the future growth of Grassroots K9 in mind.

For select individuals, the mentorship may serve as the beginning of a longer-term pathway within the organization, including opportunities for increased responsibility, leadership development, and potential future consideration for Grassroots K9 franchise ownership.

Completion of the mentorship does not guarantee employment, advancement, territory availability, or franchise ownership. Those opportunities are considered separately and are based on performance, organizational fit, business requirements, availability, and applicable franchise qualification and approval processes.

The goal is to identify individuals who aren't simply interested in becoming dog trainers—but who have the potential to carry the Grassroots K9 standard forward.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

We are looking for individuals who are serious about building a career—not simply collecting another certification.

Previous professional dog-training experience is not necessarily what will determine selection. Michael will be looking closely at work ethic, character, coachability, commitment, accountability, willingness to learn, and long-term vision.

You should be prepared to be challenged.

You should be comfortable receiving direct feedback.

You should be willing to work with dogs across different disciplines, temperaments, and levels of training.

And most importantly, you should understand that 630 hours is the minimum requirement—not a shortcut into the industry.

A SELECTIVE OPPORTUNITY

Michael will personally oversee the development of this mentorship and will accept only a very small number of applicants at a time.

This limited structure is intentional.

The value of this program comes from access, repetition, hands-on experience, individual development, and the opportunity to learn within the environments in which Michael and the Grassroots K9 team actually work.

Pet dogs to working dogs.
Behavior modification to advanced training.
Civilian training to police K9 development.
Trainer development to leadership and business.

This is an opportunity to experience the industry from the inside.

YOUR 630 HOURS COULD BE THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING MUCH BIGGER.

If you believe you have the commitment, discipline, and long-term vision required to train directly under Michael Nezbeth, we invite you to submit an application for consideration.

Applications are reviewed individually. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
