GRK9 Of The Month!!!

Everyone meet Ginger!!

We are so proud to announce our new GRK9 of the month Ginger and Kasia. Your dedication and hard work has truly paid off and were so excited to see where your training goals head!

We asked Kasia to provide you with some inside scoop on their training and their overall story.

1. How old was Ginger when you got her?

8 Weeks old

2. Where did you get her from?

I got her from a family that lived on a farm in Queensville, ON that had bred their German Shepherd with their Husky.

3 Why did you pick her?

I picked her because I wanted a bigger breed of dog with lots of energy and intelligence. I did my research first to see what traits a German shepherd husky mix had and then when I seen her puppy face I fell in love.

4. Why did you want to begin training?

I wanted to begin training with her cause for a dog of her size and energy I wanted to make sure she would be obedient enough that I could take her as many places possible with me.

5. What was some of your training goals?

My biggest training goal was to be able to get her to stop pulling on the leash. Also to better her recall for when she is off leash playing, and to increase her obedience leave and boost her confidence.

6. What was the biggest obstacle to overcome during training?

Biggest obstacle wasn’t with her it was actually trying to get everyone else in the household to follow the same training methods. Thankfully she has a great mind and when I do training with her I can still get her focused on everything we have learned so far.

7. What are you guys working on now?

Right now we are working on confidence building and distractions especially in new places. We are still improving on our recall , also working on sit and down in motion.

8. If you could give any of our clients advice about accomplishing your training goals, what would it be?

Dedicate yourself , put in the time and effort you will see results !

WAY TO GO
